Filing for FAFSA available January 1, 2014
Now is the time to start thinking about the next school year and filing a FAFSA for the 2014-2015 school year. The FAFSA becomes available JAN. 1, and students should make sure to file it early and ensure the school has the FAFSA by MARCH 1.
You will need the following:
2013 W2 or (2012 if they haven’t received it yet)
2013 1040 or (2012 if they haven’t filed taxes yet)
If the student is a “dependent” student, they will also need the same information from their parents.
Visit the FAFSA website today to get started: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
Please contact GVSU Financial Aid Counselor Detwann X. Johnson (616-331-3234) with any questions.
