Undergraduate students in this major study at Grand Valley's Allendale Campus. Classes for graduate students in this major meet downtown on the Robert C. Pew Grand Rapids Campus and the GVSU Health Campus, near the Grand Rapids Medical Mile.

All undergraduate students begin their academic career on the Allendale Campus. Students in this major continue their upper division studies on the GVSU Health Campus, near the Grand Rapids Medical Mile. Courses are offered in a hybrid or online format.

The AHS-HPD degree at Grand Valley State University requires 120 credits to graduate. Up to 80 A.S./A.A.S. credits can apply toward earning Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health Sciences. The student must earn 40 credits at the senior level institution, of which 30 credits must be completed at Grand Valley. Transferability of credit is done on an individual basis through transcript evaluation. Upon admission to GVSU, students should complete the AHS-HPD application for the program to determine eligibility.

All Master of Education (M.Ed.) programs require a minimum of 33 semester hours.

The AHS-HPD degree not only offers career enhancement for the health care professional with a bachelor's of science, but also provides the prerequisite knowledge for the expansion of skills to graduate programs. The program uses both the students' professional education and the essential components of upper division baccalaureate education to maximum future career opportunities.

| Application Deadline |
Applications for admission are accepted on a rolling basis, but deadline for graduate assistantship consideration for fall semester is January 15. The $30 nonrefundable application fee is waived if the applicant has previously applied to GVSU.

Deadline for fall semester is July 15; winter, November 15; spring/summer, March 15. Early application is strongly encouraged to secure course enrollment. Those applications received after the deadline will be considered on an individual basis and program availability. Late applicants should contact program director Kelly Margot, [email protected].
