The state’s public universities are an integral part of Michigan’s economic vitality, especially in tough times. Studies show the future of Michigan is brighter if more residents hold college degrees, and the number of college graduates living in a state determines the per capita income. Higher education continues to be a public good with far-reaching positive effects.
To that end, Grand Valley State University issues this yearly report to demonstrate how the state and its people are receiving excellent returns on investment. Grand Valley continues to be frugal, efficient, and student-centered while providing a powerful economic catalyst. The university produces high-quality graduates to improve Michigan’s future.
