VIEWING PARTY THANK YOUS
Thank you to the numerous alumni and friends who volunteered their time in hosting viewing parties for the Division II Football National Championship Game in December.  We had 26viewing party locations around the country (13 in Michigan/13 out-of-state) thatbrought Grand Valley fans together to cheer on the Lakers.  Thanks again for providing your time to help organize the various events.

NURSING ALUMS INVITED TO OPEN HOUSE JANUARY 31
Kirkhof College of Nursing alumni are invited to join fellow nursing alums for dinner and an alumni showcase featuring alums Kathryn Niemeyer, 90 and Dr. Linda Scott, 95.  The event will be held at the University Club at the DeVos Campus in Building C from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on January 31.  Please RSVP by January 26 by calling 616-331-3590 or emailing alumni@gvsu.edu.

THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE GVSU ALUMNI THEATRE PARTY SET FOR FEB. 2
Dont delay in reserving your spot for the popular Alumni Association Theatre Party.  This years presentation will take place Friday, February 2 beginning at 6 p.m. in the Thornapple River Room in the Kirkhof Center with a wine and cheese reception.  The performance and reception combo is just $5.  A drawing for two tickets to the May 22 Broadway Theatre Guild presentation of Sweet Charity will also be held.  A limited number of tickets will be sold, so dont wait.  Call 616-331-3590 to reserve your spot today.



FIFTH THIRD BANK ALUMNI BREAKFAST

ALUMNI RECEPTION WITH PRESIDENT HAAS IN WASHINGTON, D.C.
The Washington D.C. Alumni Club (GVDC) will host President Thomas Haas on Monday, February 12 at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for a networking reception.  The reception will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with complimentary hors doeuvres and refreshments being served.  Club President Lauren Parks, 01 will be on hand along with Alumni Director Chris Barbee, 88 to greet attendees.  To register, please visit www.gvsu.edu/alumni (click on Reservations) or by telephone at 800-558-0541.

DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI NOMINATIONS
Nominations are being accepted for the 2007 Alumni Association Distinguished Alumni Awards.  The award recognizes alumni who have made outstanding contributions to society, and whose accomplishments and careers reflect favorably upon Grand Valley. This prestigious award is presented during each Commencement ceremony to alumni nominees selected by a panel of members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors.  Nominations may be made by alumni, faculty, or staff and must be received by the Alumni Relations Office by January 26, 2007.  Visit our homepage and click on the Distinguished Alumni banner to submit your entry.



swidmanSEIDMAN COLLEGE OF BUSINESS - BUSINESS LEADERSHIP ROUNDTABLE LUNCHEON

SEIDMAN BASKETBALL OUTING
