Associate Director of Alumni Relations
KIM SCHMIDT, '88 & '00
Kim earned her bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in public administration from GVSU. She began her career at GVSU as the financial aid secretary in February 1992, and in October of 1995 she joined the GVSU Alumni Relations team.
She is responsible for engaging and cultivating alumni through unique events and networking opportunities involving athletics, the arts, golf outings, and other receptions around the country. She is also the scholarship coordinator, and is in charge of the overall management of the alumni house, including budgets, lists, stats, database management.
Kim enjoys Laker sports, NASCAR, golf, boating and working outside. She resides in Spring Lake.
