Although I thoroughly enjoyed the classes that I took, my favorite memory at GVSU was attending the sporting events like soccer games and football tailgates with friends.

The Detroit Alumni Network exists to unite alumni through periodic events to socialize, network, learn, and participate in community service in order to stay connected with each other and the university.
Our purpose is to:
- Bring alumni together for networking, professional development, social activities, lifelong learning, and community service.
- Build relationships among GVSU alumni both personally and professionally.
- Provide support to student interns and alumni moving to and/or living in the region.
- Support the mission of the Alumni Relations office and GVSU.

My favorite GVSU memory is during a bake sale held for GVTV in the Kirkhof Center, another GVTV member and I held a free hugs campaign. I made a best friend that day and we still speak daily almost 10 years later.

My favorite memory at GVSU was and always will be playing hockey with my friends on the roller hockey club. I am proud to say that I am still very close with all my teammates, they made my 4 years at GV the best ever!
