Charlotte Davidson, '74

Charlotte Davidson, ’74 earned her B.S. in behavior science from Grand Valley State University. Immediately following graduation, she accepted a teaching position at Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut. She later advanced to director of counseling services after earning her M.S.W. from the University of Connecticut. In this position, she is responsible for individual student assessments, counseling and training the faculty, as well as group counseling work.
 
During her career, Davidson has held appointments as President and board member of the Independent School Health Association. She has also presented and lectured as a panel member for Student Life Conferences at Brown University, the New England Teachers’ Conference, and the Independent School Health Association’s conferences on peer counseling and adolescent depression and suicide.
 
As an educator and director, Davidson runs a dormitory of 80 students. She has also coached soccer and track and been elected into faculty and students life committees.
 
She and her husband, fellow Distinguished Alumnus James Davidson, ’74 currently reside in Wallingford, Connecticut.
