Dr. Hull is a Cultural Anthropologist specializing in Maya region of Mexico, specifically changing gender roles and culture change in Yucatan. Current research addresses rural Michigan farming communities, and features the recently published ethnography,
Chippewa Lake: A Community in Search of an Identity (Michigan State University Press, 2012). The research team included six anthropology majors. Dr Hull retired December 2012, after 21 years at GVSU.
