Sharon Leventhal, violinist and chamber musician, has toured four continents as a soloist, chamber musician and teacher. A champion of new music, she has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Aaron Copland Fund for Music Recording and the Fromm and Koussevitzky foundations, and she has premiered more than 100 compositions, has appeared as a soloist with numerous orchestras, and was a founding member of the Gramercy Trio, the Kepler Quartet, and Marimolin.
Leventhal received her B.M. from Boston University and M.M. from Yale University. She currently teaches at the Boston Conservatory and Brandeis University, and is founder and director of Play On, Inc., a non-profit supporting chamber music programs for children.
A native of Chile, Paulina Zamara was educated at the University of Chile, the Eastman School of Music and Indiana University. Her solo, concert and chamber music appearances have taken her throughout the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East. She is professor of piano at the University of Chile in Santiago.
