Civic Studio: American Bread Company Project

Civic studio is an applied experimental studio project started in 1999 by Paul Wittenbraker, associate professor in the Art and Design Department at Grand Valley State University, with support from the Dorothy Johnson Center for Philanthropy. In 2006 it was established as a regular course offering in the new Visual Studies BFA program and operates as a public project.
The current project, "The OFF SHOP, an inconvenience store," is open to the public every day from 4-8 p.m. through December 13. A number of special events are also planned:
Racquetball Tournament Friday, December 7, 5 p.m., pre-event sign-up in OFF SHOP is required.
Handmade Marble Workshop, Thursday, December 13, 4:30 p.m.
Closing Discussion, Friday, December 14, 2 p.m.
