Description
In a first for Arts at Noon, award-winning musicologist James Deaville presents a lecture on the music of Franz Liszt, "Wanting the Real Thing: Liszt's Transcriptions and the Issue of Authenticity."
Deaville is associate professor and supervisor of Graduate Studies, School for Studies in Arts and Culture: Music at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He has been a lecturer at the Smithsonian Insitution and serves on the advisory board for the Grove Dicitionary of American Music.
