Ray Siemens to speak on Digital Humanities

Dr. Ray Siemens of the University of Victoria will be visiting GVSU on November 3-4, 2015 to speak on Digital Humanities. Dr. Siemens is the Canada Research Chair in Humanities Computing and Distinguished Professor in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Victoria, in English and Computer Science. He will be speaking on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 3 p.m. on the topic, "Foundations for Digital Self-Determination in the Humanities". A second presentation, "Research Partnership Toward Open Social Scholarship: Implementing New Knowledge Environments 2.0", will occur at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. Dr. Siemens will also meet with faculty and student groups.
