What is Biostatistics?

Generally speaking, biostatistics is the application and development of statistical techniques for the biological and health sciences.

Biostatisticians hold many different positions with a variety of possible duties, which include, but are not limited to: Study design, data management, data analysis, consulting, statistical training, and the application of statistical software.
