The Steelcase Library

Steelcase Library

The Steelcase Library on the Pew Campus is one location in the GVSU University Libraries system. The Steelcase International Office Furniture Company donated much of the funding for this impressive library.

The library boasts cathedral ceilings, stained glass windows and modern art blending old world art and a modern look. Its quiet areas provide a wonderful place to study. A unique advanced retrieval system stores a multitude of materials.

Steelcase was founded in 1912 as the Metal Office Company and received the first patent for a steel waste basket which was fireproof.
