L. William Seidman
L. William Seidman, founding chair of Grand Valley's Board of Trustees, died May 13, 2009 at the age of 88. Seidman was one of the founders of Grand Valley State University, helping galvanize local support for the establishment of a public four-year university in West Michigan.

The Seidman Undergraduate Student Services office provides business advising to assist you with identifying degree requirements, course sequencing, and registration. This advising office can help you progress through your degree on schedule. Here, you will find a supportive environment during your Seidman experience.
You will be encouraged to expand your learning beyond the classroom. Seidman offers you internships and study abroad. Internships are a chance to work closely with professionals in a relevant field of study. Most Seidman internships are paid positions in organizations in the greater Grand Rapids business community. You can differentiate yourself from the crowd by participating in a study abroad program. These international experiences are offered in more than 21 countries and range in duration from six weeks to a full year.
