Hundreds of Seidman School of Accounting students participated in a Accounting Pre-Recruiting Event sponsored by Beta Alpha Psi. Students had a chance to talk to local, midsize, and national accounting firms and corporations, for tax and audit internships and full-time positions. Over 489 interviews have resulted from the event!

Grand Valley to Offer Online Financial Planning Certificate Classes Starting Fall of 2012
Due to the success and growth of the Financial Planning Certificate Program offered through the Seidman College of Business Financial Planning Center, the Center is pleased to announce new online classes starting this fall. The programs six courses include Insurance Planning, Investment Planning, Personal Income Tax Planning, Retirement Planning and Employee Benefits, Estate Planning and a Capstone Case Course. Each course will be seven weeks long and can be completed within one year. Upon completion of all of these courses, students will receive a Certificate in Financial Planning from the center, and will have met the education requirement to sit for the Certified Financial Planner Exam.
According to program director Gregg Dimkoff, what will make these courses unique from other online offerings is each of the courses will offer the flexibility and convenience of online while also offering the opportunity for regular online interaction and discussions with instructors.
