Welcome Faculty...
Career services professionals are not the only members of the GVSU community that can assist students with their career development needs. Many GVSU faculty and staff members go above and beyond their call of duty to help students in all facets of development and we appreciate your efforts.

Suggestions for assisting students with career development includes:
 
• Requesting a presentation about various career-related topics for one of your classes. Contact our office to check availability. Such topics may include resume and cover letter writing, interviewing success, general job search techniques, or an overview of what a career services office can offer students.
 
•Offering to be a contact for students interested in conducting informational interviews. These are structured conversations in which students can learn about your career field and obtain advice for getting into that particular career.
 
•Participating in a career panel to educate students about the job search process and offer information about how they can develop necessary skills for a future career.
