DeVos Place Convention Center
These high-profile events typically attract over 1,500 students and alumni from all colleges and majors, and over 230 regional and national employers with thousands of jobs, internships, and clinical and co-op opportunities.
Unloading
It is recommended that vendors unload materials in the loading zone near the main entrance of the convention center on Monroe Ave. Student volunteers will be available to assist with unloading and transporting display materials.
Hand-carried Freight
In accordance with DeVos Place Convention Center's exhibitor guidelines, move-in or move-out through the DeVos Place convention center lobbies is strictly limited to hand-carried items. The general rule of thumb for items that may be hand-carried is that if you could legally bring it on an airplane, you can take it through our front doors. All load-in and load-out of larger/heavier show materials must be done through the loading docks.
Parking - For Employers Only
Important Parking Information - PLEASE READ
- Parking vouchers will be provided (for employers only) in the on-site welcome packet for each paid and registered employer.
- These vouchers are to be used upon EXITING the parking structure after the fair.
- The parking vouchers are only valid for Grand Rapids Municipal Lots.
- Recommended parking (for employers only) is in the DeVos Place Ramp located underneath the DeVos Place Convention Center or the Government Center Ramp.
- Students are encouraged to take the GVSU Laker Line or walk from the Pew Campus.
- Students choosing to park in a downtown lot are responsible for their payment.
- Ellis Parking Lot fees are NOT covered with the provided parking voucher.
Please note: Parking in these lots is available to the public and GVSU cannot guarantee availability. Additional parking may be available in private lots for an additional fee.
Shipping
Neither the GVSU Career Center nor the DeVos Place Convention Center provides storage of, nor accepts exhibitor material shipments for the Career & Internship Fair. All shipping and freight handling needs to be prearranged and contracted through DeVos Place’s in-house decorator, Art Craft Display Group.
