Start Garden The type of idea we’re looking for is an idea that could, potentially, become a business. Each week we invest $5,000 in two ideas. One is chosen by Start Garden. The other is the one with the most endorsements from the general public. We want to invest in what you like. Each $5,000 idea has about two months to do something interesting. Then you must return in person to give an update at a public event. Your update informs the Start Garden team if your project is ready for $20,000.

Accelerate Michigan Innovation Competition Accel­er­ate Michi­gan Inno­va­tion Com­pe­ti­tion is an inter­na­tional busi­ness plan com­pe­ti­tion which high­lights Michi­gan as a robust and vibrant venue for inno­va­tion and busi­ness oppor­tu­nity. The com­pe­ti­tion fuels innovation-based busi­ness growth by uncov­er­ing the best and bright­est new busi­ness con­cepts from local and global entre­pre­neurs, expos­ing those oppor­tu­ni­ties to poten­tial invest­ment cap­i­tal and fos­ter­ing their growth within Michigan.
GLEQ Business Plan Competition The mission of the Great Lakes Entrepreneur's Quest, and its competition, is to continually encourage and educate entrepreneurs on the creation, start up and early growth stages of high-growth businesses within the state of Michigan. This will be accomplished by linking entrepreneurs pursuing high-growth opportunities with access to a statewide network of community resources, expert advice, high quality education, management talent and capital at every stage of development.
