1. Temporary myBb Access for new employees
To ease semester startup new employee processing, especially adjunct faculty, the GVSU IT team has created a form for a Department Chair or PSS to request temporary myBb accounts to be used before the GVSU network account is created. Temporary myBb accounts should only be requested for confirmed new hires as access to GVSU student data could be given depending on course access requests received. The form allows for access to be made to upcoming semester courses the new hire will be teaching and/or other courses, organizations or foundations coursework sites. The temporary account creation process will also give access to a temporary TEST course for building new course content.
The Temp myBb Access Request button can be found on the GVSU Faculty/Staff Additional Student Information screen. The Department Chair or PSS who makes the request will receive a confirmation email upon submission that the request was received, as well as a follow-up email the next business day confirming the account has been created and course enrollments are processed.
The temporary accounts will be disabled two weeks into the upcoming semester. The new hire should move to the GVSU network credentials as soon as it’s created. If a copy of content from the temporary test course is required, the new hire can make this request once their full GVSU network account has been established by emailing [email protected].
Any questions can be sent to [email protected].
