Arts at Noon

Location: Cook DeWitt
The 36thseason of Grand Valley State University's annual Arts at Noon series begins this Wednesday at noon in the Cook-DeWitt Center with a performance by Jessica Louise Coe, soprano, accompanied by GVSU faculty member Robert Byrens, piano, performing the songs of Benjamin Britten.
There are seven concerts this Fall ranging from indie pop vocalist Mônica da Silva to a re-creation of a civil war-era brass band, the Dodworth Saxhorn Band. Except as noted on Monday, December 2, all of the Arts at Noon events will take place on Wednesdays in the Cook-DeWitt Center, begin at 12:00 noon, and last approximately one hour. All of the concerts are free and open to the college community and the general public. Monday, December 2 Holiday Music for Brass Quintet
Back for the third year in a row, the GVSU Brass Quintet presents Holiday Music for Brass Quintet. Come and listen to the wondrous sound of holiday carols arranged for brass. GVSU faculty members Richard Stoelzel and Kevin Good, trumpet; Richard Britsch, horn; Mark Williams, trombone; and Paul Carlson, tuba, will brighten your holiday season with joyful music.
