The 2012-2013 Emergency Closing Procedures Policy is available at the link above. Destroy any old copies you may have. Please provide this Emergency Closing Policy document to all appropriate personnel.

The Signs of the Season: Emergency Closing Policy and Overnight Parking Restrictions will appear in the FORUM and LANTHORN as soon as possible. Please contact EXT. 1-3255 if you have any questions or concerns.

3. Call for Abstracts on STEM

Call for Abstracts –Now extended to January 19^th.

ASQ Advancing the STEM Agenda Conference: GRAND Bridges in STEM

Where: Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids campus
When: June 3-4, 2013

Keynotes will include panel discussions on best practices on collaboration between industry and STEM education. The four focus areas for the abstracts and peer reviewed papers are:

Industry Partnerships and Transition to STEM and Engineering Careers
Higher Education STEM — Improved Learning through Teaching and Communities
College-Ready in STEM and Transition to College
The STEM Gap: Representation and Access in STEM

All abstracts are reviewed for applicability to the conference theme and call for papers topics, a broad appeal to conference participants and readability. Abstracts are approved prior to the submission of a conference paper. All conference papers will be peer-reviewed. A paper may be either a 2 page extended abstract or a 6-12 page conference paper.
