Q. Must I have a culminating experience?
A. Yes. As mentioned in this newsletter on 11/13/12: As the semester draws to a close here’s a reminder about the policy for final exams. University policy states that all classes must meet for a culminating experience during final exam week, on the appropriate scheduled exam day and time. In the event that the course structure involves a take home final or is an online course, the due date for submission of this exam should be the scheduled exam day and time. Both the Provost and the Dean expect compliance with this policy. There are no exceptions to this university policy.

Q. Grades are due when?
A. All grades must be in before noon on December 18. Please review your grades to make sure none are inadvertently missed. Also, an grades of F require a last date of academic activity, and awarding an I (incomplete) includes filling out a short form. Failure to complete these requirements holds up all of your grades—not just that one F or I.

2. Faculty Annual Salary Adjustment Program (attachment)
You may recall that last year changes were made to the annual salary adjustment process regarding written performance summaries for untenured faculty. The attached document that includes guidelines, a checklist and FAQ’s was developed by Gary Stark (CLAS), and reviewed by Kurt Ellenberger (FPPC), Tom Butcher, and Jon Jellema. Please share this document with your unit heads as the policy begins with this year’s salary adjustment program. The document will also be available on the Provost Office website. Contact Jon Jellema with questions or concerns you may have.
