2. Student Scholars Day – From OURS
A reminder that the registration period for Student Scholars Day begins on Monday, January 28 and closes on Friday, February 15. Please remind your students and colleagues who are planning on being part of SSD. The registration link will be available at gvsu.edu/ours/ssd/
As you know, SSD is held once each year to celebrate the scholarship and creative work performed by GVSU students. The day showcases faculty-mentored student work, shared through many venues, including (but not limited to) oral presentations, discussion and panel sessions, fine arts exhibits and performances, and poster presentations. Information about registration is available at gvsu.edu/ours/ssd. [This year, we will be extending copies of the SSD Keynote speaker, Jonathan Gottschall's, book (Storytelling Animal) to the first 50 students who register for SSD.] (http://jonathangottschall.com)

3. Grand Rapids Children’s Museum Symposium on Play
Below is the website for the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum Symposium on Play with a link to the student discount. The first 100 students to register will receive the $10.00 student discount fee. The Symposium is Friday, March 1, 8:00 – 4:30, GVSU’s Eberhard Center. The Symposium is sponsored by the Children’s Museum, GVSU, and Aquinas College.
