Faculty governance plays a vital role at Grand Valley. We had more CLAS faculty participate in the election process this past year than ever before! This fall, Faculty Council will run a special election for the CLAS Personnel Committee. This committee must have a complete membership roster in order to perform their responsibilities. The CLAS Personnel Committee has representation from the following departments: History, Art & Design, Sociology, AWRI, Modern Languages, Chemistry, Classics and Music. We need tenured faculty to run for this critical committee. This committee is directly responsible for assisting Dean Antczak in evaluating faculty for tenure and promotion. Faculty Council will be soliciting for nominees in August. Please contact Colleen Lewis, Chair of Faculty Council at lewiscol@gvsu.edu with questions.
