Classics majors recognized at Student Awards Convocation

Five Classics majors and double-majors earned top honors at GVSU's annual Student Awards Convocation, held at the Eberhard Center in downtown Grand Rapids.

Each academic program is invited to select one student every year as the recipient of its University Award. Students with double majors are eligible for more than one award. These awards, together with a number of university-wide student awards, are conferred at the annual event.

Those recognized are (l. to. r.) Justin Ebert (Classics and Economics), Glenn A. Niemeyer Undergraduate Student Award; Chani Jones (Art History and Classics), Art History program award; Abigail DeHart (Classics and Philosophy), Glenn A. Niemeyer Undergraduate Student Award; Mark ten Haaf (Classics), Classics departmental award; Kristen Hollingsworth (Classics and Photography), Photography program award.

Joining them are Prof. Charles Pazdernik and Prof. Peter Anderson.
