No experience necessary

No age maximums

Equipment is provided and experienced staff will be on hand to handle the ropes for you.


 


Drop-in format, Registration is not required.  If you anticiapte attending with a small group of coworkers, please contact Joe, the Climbing Center Manager, at 331-2597 to ensure adequate staffing is available.


 


Loose clothing that allows for free range of motion is recommended.

This class is a great introduction to the fundamentals of indoor rock climbing. Although the typical lesson plan includes different styles of indoor climbing, basic knots, & fundamental movement, we are happy to modify each clinic to best fit the participant's goals.


Due to the duration of a proper belay lesson, Belaying is generally not taught.  Each interested  participant will receive a coupon for a FREE belay lesson. 


$5 per participant (includes equipment rental)

This hands-on clinic will focus on establishing a top rope anchor using natural protection (i.e. trees)  Our goal is to give participants the basic knowledge and hands-on practice needed to confidently establish a sound top rope anchor at Grand Ledge or similar crag.  This clinic will not cover placement of traditional protection.

Chances are that your children climb on everything already.  This Summer introduce them to the rapidly growing sport of indoor rock climbing!  This is a great opportunity for your kids to be social, active, and challenged both physically & mentally while learning a new skill in a fun and encouraging environment.



Aside from being extremely fun, rock climbing promotes more than just upper body strength.  Rock climbing helps enhance mental focus, creative problem solving skills, balance, coordination, and flexibility.



Saturdays, June 8 - July 13 (6 weeks)



10a-12p,

Ages 7 - 17 

$65 - includes: rental equipment, instruction, & t-shirt.
