2013-2014 Working Groups:
Community Engagement Core Team
The Community Engagement Core Team exists to provide systems thinking, strategic direction, and support to build GVSU’s infrastructure for community engagement. By knowing the details and the big picture, the Core Team actively leads and guides the work of the Office for Community Engagement.
Impact Assessment Team
The Impact Assessment Team is a multi-year effort to design and implement methods for assessing the impact of community engagement partnerships on our students, faculty, and communities.
Program Development Team
The Community Engagement Program Development Team exists to support GVSU’s engaged scholars and attract new scholars to engaged teaching, learning, and research. The team actively designs and implements integrated programming, including training, network and partnership development, web resources, and an annual event.
Partnership Data Collection Team
The Partnership Data Collection Team will meet in Fall 2013 and Winter 2014 semesters to oversee and support the design and testing of a partnership data collection system to serve the entire university. University leaders, faculty, and staff have repeatedly requested an on-line, searchable system to share and access information on existing community partnerships and professional interests. The system will be designed to increase responsiveness to community requests, offer opportunities for collaboration, support marketing of our community impact, and identify areas of alignment with the interests of potential funders.
