GVSU M.Ed Program

The Grand Valley State University (GVSU) Charter Schools Office (CSO) is pleased to offer financial support for teachers, administrators and counselors employed at a GVSU-authorized charter school who wish to participate in GVSU’s Master of Education and Education Specialist programs.

The CSO will provide tuition reimbursement of 50% for up to 12 credits per academic year after satisfactory completion of required program courses. Reimbursement will be offered only to individuals working as teachers, administrators or school counselors (if you are not sure if your position qualifies, please contact the Charter Schools Office). Please note that elective courses (including EDR 612 & 613), books or additional fees incurred are NOT reimbursable by the CSO.

Please also note that in order to receive reimbursement, Ed. Specialist and M.Ed. students must fill out a tuition reimbursement eligibility application and receive confirmation that their application has been accepted before they may apply for, and receive, reimbursement.  Application windows open each semester one month prior to tuition deadlines for the following semester. The application for the Fall 2014 semester will open on July 15, 2014 at 8:00pm and will only stay open until all slots are filled.  For additional information and to see which programs are reimbursable, visit the links below.
