Abstract
The goal of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is the harmonic operation of electrical equipment which exists in the same electromagnetic environment. At E3 Compliance, radiated emissions are measured using an EMC antenna connected to a mast. The antenna height, the angle of the antenna with respect to the device under test, known as the boresighting angle, and the angle of the antenna with respect to the chamber floor, known as the polarization angle, often need to be adjusted for proper EMC measurements. The requirements for this project are to design and test an antenna mast which is compatible with four different types of EMC antennas in use at E3 Compliance, and ensure both the manual and automated movement of the antennas from outside the EMC Chamber to properly complete radiated emissions testing.
