Dr. Jiao received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering
from Nankai University, China, in 1989 and 1992, respectively, and Ph.D.
degree in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in
1998. Before came to GVSU, She spent several years working as an
engineer and researcher at Motorola, Penn State and Bell Labs.
Dr. Jiao's interests include solid state physics, semiconductor material characterization, semiconductor device fabrication, fiber optics, optical communication networks and nanomaterials/nanodevices. She regularly
consults at industrial companies.
