MSGC Application Information

The Michigan Space Grant Consortium (MSGC) announces funding opportunities for the 2011 - 12 funding interval.  The application and review processes are all online at http://www.umich.edu/~msgc.  The deadline date for MSGC funding opportunities is no later than Friday, November 19, 2010 at midnight.  (Note: the on-line application may incorrectly show November 22, 2010. The date is scheduled to be changed to November 19, 2010)

The Fourteenth Annual Fall MSGC Conference has been scheduled for Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m.

  • Registration for the conference and announcements for the funding opportunities can be  found on the MSGC website.
  • Registration for the conference is required in order to adequately plan for seating, refreshments, and lunch.  The Registration Deadline date for the conference is October 25, 2010.  We are calling for short lectures and/or posters (abstract required).  Some travel expense assistance for out-of-town students available (if you need lodging in Ann Arbor, you must contact Bonnie Bryant no later than October 15, 2010).

  • The MSGC website is now open for Fellowship, Precollege Education, Public Outreach, Teacher Training, and Research Seed Grant proposals.  Deadline date for proposal packages is no later than Friday, November 19, 2010.  Funding announcements will be made in February 2011.

Note - MSGC Fellowship Program:  Only US citizens may apply for a MSGC Fellowship.

Note - MSGC Research Seed Grant Program:   Funding cannot be used to purchase equipment.  Funding can be used for travel and to purchase supplies and services.  Funding can also be used for faculty and student salaries if they are US citizens.  Funding cannot be used to pay salaries, stipends, or travel to persons that are not US Citizens.  Persons who received a Research Seed Grant in the previous year are not eligible to submit.
