Project Abstract

Bold Advanced Medical Future (BAMF) Health, currently employs an industry standard, but expensive solution for monitoring radiation levels in different rooms of their facility. This solution is limited to a maximum of four detectors per hub and trending data is difficult to access and utilize. The existing system is primarily designed to display data on screens at the wall-mounted hubs. It is also difficult to reconfigure existing devices or add new devices to the network. There are few other options on the market leaving BAMF Health limited to monitoring rooms of critical importance where radiation is likely to be higher. BAMF Health would like to be able to improve its current monitoring to add radiation sensing capabilities to many new locations to gather data that would allow improvements in drug production and patient care. This expanded monitoring requires small inexpensive devices that can be flexibly powered and connected to a cloud-hosted server. Additionally, a web-based front-end user interface would allow for easy monitoring and configuration for new and existing sensors.
