Taylor Garden Club - Jeanne Eckert Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
For Michigan residents, attending a Michigan College or University following any of these career paths: Agriculture, Horticulture, Organic Gardening, Botany, Environmental Studies, Landscape Design or Conservation.
In an effort to continue the legacy of the club and to honor the first president of the Taylor Garden Club, the Jeanne Eckert Scholarship is offered in the amount of $1,000 to a college student or graduating high school senior. This money is to be used for college expenses. The check will be made out to the school attended.
To apply, please include the following:
Full legal name, birth date, citizenship
Current address
Permanent address
College and address
Projected graduation
date
A letter from an unrelated, responsible adult vouching for
the applicant’s character
A letter from your science instructor or
professor
A one-page personal mission statement in which you
address the statement of purpose for the scholarship funds, how this
will further your education, your achievements or activities in this
subject or field
