The 17th Annual Cook Carillon International Concert Series opens with Danish carillonneur Ulla Laage. She studied with renowned carillonneur Milford Myhre and received her Artist Diploma from the Scandinavian Carillon School. From 1974-2006, Laage served as carillonneur of Old Saviorss Church in Copenhagen where she was also the organizaer of the Old Saviors International Summer Carillon Festivals. She performs extensively in Denmark and abroad. A member of The Guild of Carillonneurs in North America, Laage has contributed numerous compositions, arrangements, and transcriptions for carillon that have been performed worldwide.
