Join us on Monday, November 19 at 1 pm in 2263 Kirkhof Center to meet Elizabeth Mhangami and learn about her organization, Vanavevhu, and the important work she’s doing in Zimbabwe! Elizabeth is the Founder and Executive Director of Vanavevhu Children of the Soil, a non-governmental organization in Zimbabwe that works with children head of households (www.vanavevhu.org). She earned her Bachelor’s in Political Science and Women’s Studies and is currently completing her Master’s in Women and Gender Studies at DePaul University in Chicago. Elizabeth’s academic and professional interests are in African post-colonial political systems, post-colonial feminisms, and gender politics.
