Gordon Olson, Grand Rapids historian, will give an overview his book on the Polar Bear unit, who were trained to serve in the WWI US troop corp that went to Russia. 
Doors open at 2 p.m. at the Alpine Township Community Building, 2015 Seven Mile Road. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
