Event Information |
The Hijabi Monologues takes an often controversial symbol - the Muslim headscarf know as the hijab and uses it to create a theater space for Muslim American women's true stories including the humorous, the serious and the heartfelt. Founded in 2006, the Hijabi Monologues has been covered by various media outlets such as the Chicago Tribune, LA Times and Miami Herald and performed across the United States and abroad.
Hijabi Monologues Local Story Contest: The Hijabi Monologues team is soliciting local stories for possible inclusion in the program. Email hm.storycontest@gmail.com with your story by October 10th with the subject "Michigan story." If your story is selected, it will be included in the MSU/GVSU show! For story guidelines, visit the Hijabi Monologues-Official Facebook page (www.hijabimonologues.com).
