Sight/Sound Music specializes in blending elements of the avant-classical practice with the concurrently flourishing electornica scene to bring an innovative breed of music that is not quite classical, not quite club.

The program for Sight/Sound 5 features prominently the GVSU New Music Ensemble performings works from their recent East Coast tour which was described as "kaleidoscopic" and "hypnotic" by the Washington Post. The program features electronic-acoustic hybrid music by the group's leader, Dr. Bill Ryan, associate professor of music at Grand Valley State University, student and Sight/Sound Music co-founder Daniel Rhode, and nationally recognized composer DJ Sparr.

The program will take place at Division Avenue Arts Collective, 115 S. Division - Heartside, Grand Rapids, MI. Open to the public. Free Admission.
