Toiletries for ToTs
"Helping the have-nots that Lansing forgot"
Because of extreme state-wide cuts of assistance for many underprivileged and needy families, We Are the People will be working with local neighborhood organizations in hosting a month-long donation drive.
Various neighborhood associations will be collecting diapers and other related toiletries, ect. They will also be dispersing the collected supplies to needy families throughout their neighborhoods.
We really have to band together as a community and try our hardest to meet the increasing needs of our city's forgotten poor and needy families.
There will be a kick-off event with various speakers on September 29, 430 pm @ SECA. 1408 Madison SE
We will also have a thermometer that will show the amount that we have collected versus the amount of state cuts our poor and middle class families have received in the last year under a new Lansing administration.
The collection drive will last until November 22nd and supplies will be distributed as they are collected.
Here are some donation suggestions
Packs of Soft Washcloths
Baby Body Wash
Soft Brush and Comb
Diaper Rash Ointment
Mild Soap for Laundry
There will be a growing number of collection points.
Here is what we have so far.
