William Baum Lecture Series presents pianist Jeffrey Brown. Brown has concertized extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia as a solo recitalist, chamber musician, and soloist with orchestra. Recent performance highlights include the Dame Myra Hess Series in Chicago, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., a recital tour of the U.S. and Canada sponsored by the Metropolitan Opera Guild of New York, and two chamber music tours of China.
Brown is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, where he earned the Performer's Certificate, Master of Music, and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees. He is a prizewinner of the Kosciuszko Chopin Competition, the Corpus Christi International Young Artists' Competition, the Music Teachers National Association Competition, the Iowa International Piano Competition, and the Eastman Concerto Competition.
Brown is currently on the faculty at Western Illinois University.
