Gazelle has 5 stores spread across Michigan and is a leader in providing the best customer care in run specialty around. I have loved being a part of this organization.

Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed

I was the Gazelle Sports Young Athlete Intern. I did a lot in this role. I was in contact with a great deal of high school coaches in west Michigan. I setting team nights with these coaches. During the team nights, when all the athletes are at gazelle, fit the athletes for shoes, spikes, and other running essentials. I had a chance to get some real hands on time with these athletes and hope to ignite a fire for the sport of track and field for so many young athletes. I also represented Gazelle Sports at many track meets where I tried to ignite the fire for young athletes and hopefully have a chance to motivate the kids. I also did all I could to make our young athlete program better.

Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience

I learned a great deal of communication skills, both electronic and vocal. I also have a much better grasp of the art of the sale. I learned and performed gain analyses on people and learned hoe to recommend the right shoe for them.

Favorite Part of the Experience

I was able to help people first hand. I was truly able to make a difference in peoples' everyday lives that I could actually see.

How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals

It has actually influenced my career goals a lot. I went into this internship thinking I wanted to coach. This was the only thing I wanted to do. coming out of it, my eyes have been opened to the world of run specialty. I have learned that I have a great deal of interest in this world and could see myself pursuing a career in run specialty in the future.
