I have been with JR for over a year total now, and I have drawn and edited electrical schematics, I have created human machine interfaces, and I have programmed logic that controls the functionality of several machines.

Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience

I have gained a great wealth of knowledge of the best programming methods from several different extraordinary controls engineers.

Favorite Part of the Experience

The most rewarding part of my co-op experience was being entrusted with the responsibility to program my own stations and machines, and when I succeeded in making them perform properly I felt very accomplished.

How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals

It certainly has; prior to my 3 semesters at JR, I was unsure of what career path I wanted to pursue with my Electrical Engineering degree. I now realize that my calling and my joy is in Controls Engineering.
