Although the University Curriculum Committee (UCC) is ultimately responsible for curricular matters at the university, the curriculum is everyone's business. All curricular proposals go through several levels of review that may include the unit, IT, University Libraries, the appropriate College Curriculum Committee (CCC), the appropriate Dean, the General Education Committee, Graduate Council, UCC, Faculty Salary and Budget Committee (FSBC), Executive Committee of the Senate (ECS), University Academic Senate (UAS), and the Provost. All of these reviewers have an important role to play in curricular review.
All curricular proposals are created and submitted via SAIL, the Online Curriculum Development System, at http://www.gvsu.edu/sail. Helpful information on developing curricular proposals can be found on UCC's page
