Event Calendars

Grades and Academic Performance

Grades are provided to students electronically through the myBanner system. Talk to you student about expectations for sharing information about their academic performance. To learn more about registering for classes and the timing of grades visit the Registrar's website. Learn more about FERPA.

Meal Plans

To check on your student's meal plan, make sure they first establish a campus dining account. Then your student will need to set up a Family link so that you can check on their balance and add dollars to their plan. Full instructions can be found on Campus Dining's website.

Safety

The campus safety section of Public Safety's website provides information and tips regarding your student's personal safety on and off campus. If you are concerned about your student's emotional health, visit the Counseling Center's website for information regarding alcohol, drugs, group therapy, support groups, diversity or how to deal with a crisis.

Orientation

The freshman orientation website provides information about transfer credits, majors and academic programs, campus maps, and directions to Grand Valley. There is also a separate orientation website for transfer students as well as graduate students.

Finances

GVSU's Financial Aid website explains the basics of financial aid, how to apply, loan information, cost and payment options, and provides some commonly used forms. You can pay your student's tuition bill through myBanner online. The Student Accounts Office can help guide you through the payment process, offering payment options, deferment information, and all your payment related needs.
