Family Business Alliance – Helping Family Businesses Succeed Generation to Generation

The Family Business Alliance (FBA) exists to enhance the advantages of family businesses and increase the number of businesses that last into each successive generation.

Spearheaded by the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce and the Family Owned Business Institute of Grand Valley State University's Seidman College of Business, and supported by family-owned businesses (as members) and firms providing services to them (as underwriter partners), the Family Business Alliance offers a variety of opportunities focused on the distinct challenges family businesses face. FBA's programs include workshops, one-to-one assistance and mentorship, NextGen Peer Groups, and networking opportunities. The Family Business Alliance is a unique cross-sector cooperation that draws the best from local and national research, expertise, and practice for the benefit of the West Michigan family-owned business community.
