Planned Gifts

A planned gift, including bequests and other types of estate gifts, is considered the pinnacle of giving to Grand Valley. A planned gift to Grand Valley compliments annual gifts made during your lifetime, and ultimately helps ensure the long-term success of the university and its students.

Donors who support Grand Valley with a planned gift are recognized in and become members of the prestigious Gillett Society, Grand Valley’s longest-standing donor society named in honor of Richard M. Gillett, who was a driving force in the creation of the university.

The easiest and most common form of gift planning is to include a gift to Grand Valley in your will or estate plan; however there are many other options to consider.
