OSP Staff Members Earn Certified Research Administrator Credential

We are pleased to announce that three members of the OSP staff—Director, Michael Gouin-Hart, and Grants & Contracts Specialists Andrew Kienitz and Melissa Wright—have earned the Certified Research Administrator (CRA) designation. This CRA is a well-recognized nationwide professional standard by which university research- and sponsored-programs administrators are judged and credentialed.

The CRA is conferred by the Research Administration Certification Council (RACC). It is a comprehensive certification that covers both the pre-and post-award (financial) research administration Body of Knowledge.

You can learn more about the RACC and the CRA certification here: https://www.cra-cert.org/introduction/

This development is indicative of the OSP staff’s dedication to its mission to support and serve you—the GVSU sponsored-programs and research community and its expertise in the field of research- and sponsored-programs administration.
