Delta Zeta


The purpose of Delta Zeta Sorority shall be to unite its members in the bonds of sincere and lasting friendship, to stimulate one another in the pursuit of knowledge, to promote the moral and social culture of its members, and to develop plans for guidance and unity in action; objects worthy of the highest aim and purpose of associated effort. The purpose of this sorority shall be advanced through the National Convention, the National Council, and the college and alumnae chapters. We share a common purpose: to make life fuller, more meaningful, more rewarding. Within Delta Zeta, we call it enriching. To our members, it is the promise of friendship, personal development and opportunity. To the community we are valued citizens deeply committed to making a difference where we live. Our promise to our Sorority and our commitment to enrich the world are for a lifetime.

Founded Nationally: October 24, 1902 — Miami University, Oxford, Ohio
Founded at Grand Valley: October 14, 1989 (Formerly Chi Omega Delta, a local sorority that existed for eight years at Grand Valley State College before they became a colony and affiliated with Delta Zeta on December 3, 1988)
