Bio: Chrissy went to Caledonia High School and graduated in 2010 but she is from Alto.  She is a double major, nursing and psychology which is quite the combination. She am a junior but she graduates in 2015!  She joined greek life in Fall 10 and have been my chapter's Assistant Panhellenic Delegate, Panhellenic Delegate and VP of Communications.  Chrissy ended up going through Formal recruitment because her best friend said she would only go to a zumba class with her if she went through recruitment with her.  Fun facts: Her greek Little Sister and her biological sister are both wayyy taller than her!  When she feels like procrastinating she tends to start crafting so naturally her floor is always covered in glitter no matter how much she vacuums.

 

Executive Vice President: Alexa VanBrocklin

Bio: Alexa is from Clarkston MI, and she graduated from Clarkston High School in 2010 where she was involved in marching band, clarinet choir, and lacrosse. Alexa currently has a double major in Secondary Education and English with a Health Education minor. She is a junior at Grand Valley and will be graduating in the Winter of 2015. She eventually would like to get her masters in administration so she can become a principal, as well as getting her PhD and publishing a book. Alexa is a founding member of Gamma Phi Beta, Eta Delta Chapter in Fall 2010. She has been the Historian and is currently the Saftey and Wellness Consultant. Fun Fact: She can write upside down and backwards with either hand. 

 

 

Vice President of Recruitment: Amy Kinnary

Bio: Amy is from Chillicothe Illinois, and graduated from Illinois Valley Central High School in 2010. She majors in Advertising and Public Relations as a Junior at Grand Valley, and is graduating in the Winter of 2014. She has had many positions including: Nominations Chair, Parliamentarian, Panhellenic Delegate, and now currently Social Chair!  She has also attended the Be the Person Conference and Athena Leadership Conference. She enjoys photography, painting/drawing, sports (including soccer, swimming, and flag football), hanging out with family and friends, and crafting. Fun Facts: Her left hand is bigger than her right hand and she can make a three-leaf clover with her tongue! She is a professional at stupid human tricks.

 

Vice President of Membership Development: Angie Peisert

Bio: Angie Peisert is petite, sassy, small town girl from Perry, Michigan. She graduated from Perry High School in 2011. She is a sophomore at Grand Valley, currently majoring in Human Resources Management. She joined Greek life through formal recruitment as a freshman in the Fall of 2011, and honestly can say that to this day it was the best decision she’s made in her adult life. Positions that she has held within her chapter since joining Greek Life are, Junior Panhellenic Delegate, Assistant Panhellenic Vice President, and is currently the Social chairwoman. She has also spent 15+ hours a semester doing community service and volunteering through her organization. She has attended the Athena Conference, Leadership Summit and was also a Transitions Leader in the Fall of 2012. She currently nannies and is a Student Assistant at Grand Valley's Van Andel Global Trade Center. She spends her spare time with friends and sisters, exercising, reading, pinning, and baking. Fun Facts: She’s a die-hard Michigan State Fan, loves jalapeño peppers, worked at Cedar point the summer after her senior year, and has reoccurring nightmares. 

 

Vice President of Rho Gammas: Meghan Cytacki

Bio: Meghan is from Boyne City and graduated froom Boyne City High School in 2010. She majors in Psychology and Women&Gender Studies, has a Spanish minor, and is a  3rd year at GVSU  graduating in  Fall 2013. She joined Greek life in winter of 2011, and has held many positions including Chaplain, Rho Gamma, and Vice President of Rho Gammas. She likes to read, cook, watch movies, go skiing, play tennis, swim, travel, yoga, go for walks, and go on road trips. She has been to Spain, Morocco, Costa Rica, and Italy. She earned a green belt with a blue stripe when she was younger in Tae Kwon Do (about half way to a black belt!).    

 

 

Vice President of Community Development: Kayla Pollard

Bio: Kayla is from Oxford, Michigan which is on the east side of the state and graduated from Oxford High School in the spring of 2011. After much self-exploration, she has decided on a Spanish major and an Advertising and Public Relations Minor. Her major relates back to her family life, because she am a first generation American, because her family is from Cuba, a Spanish speaking country. Kayla is currently a sophomore here at Grand Valley and her expected graduation date is spring of 2015. She joined greek life in the fall of 2011, the most prevalent reason why she joined greek life was to get involved on campus and to be apart of something bigger than herself throughout her collegiate years. In the past two years Kayla has held two positions within her organizations, Vice President of Communications along with Vice President of Membership Recruitment. Within G.A.M.M.A, Greeks Advocating The Mature Management of Alcohol, I have held the role of Public Relations Chair. In contrast to greek life, she also holds two jobs on campus, one within Housing as a Desk Assistant and for the Office of Student Life as an Event Services desk assistant, and also serves on Grand Valley State University's Student Senate on the Public Relations Committee. Kayla consistently fall more in love with Student Affairs and the collegiate atmosphere and cannot wait to grow as a Panhellenic Community this coming term!

 

Vice President of Scholarship: Shannon Riffel

Bio: Shannon is  from a little town near Saginaw named Freeland.  She graduated from Freeland High School in 2011. Shannon is a Public Administration Major, emphasis on Budgeting and Finance, with a minor in Nonprofit Administration.  She is a Sophomore and will  be here for more than four years. She joined Greek Life in Fall 2011, and she is currently Service Chair for her chapter. She loves listening to music, crafting, and long walks on the beach.  Shannon's friends and family are of her utmost priority, and Grand Valley is her heart and soul.

 

Vice President of Philanthropy & Sustainability: Alyssa Davenport

Bio: Alyssa Davenport is straight out of the east side of the state. Originally from Saginaw, Michigan she graduated from Heritage High School in 2010. She is currently a junior majoring in marketing and plans to graduate next year in 2014. She joined Greek life as a freshman in 2010 and has since held the position of Assistant Membership Director and is currently serving as her chapter's membership director. In her spare time she loves to cuddle with puppies, her favorites being her labradoodle Watson and American eskimo Dixie. When she grows up she'd like to save the world and also own a bakery.

 

Vice President of Community Service: Esther Philip

Bio: Esther is from Sterling Heights,MI and graduated from Adlai E. Stevenson High School. She is a junior who majors in Allied Health Science with a minor in Women and Gender Studies. She joined Greek life her freshmen year and has loved every single second of it. She was Public Relations Vice President for her sorority and now she is on Panhel, which is fabulous! Some fun facts about her is that she likes to box, and she would major in socialization if I could. But on a serious note, I love to give back to the community and want to spread the service love!

 

 

Vice President of Public Relations: Jillian Bramble

Bio: Jillian is a fun loving girl from Grand Rapids MI, and graduated from Catholic Central High School in 2011. She now attends Grand Valley State University majoring in Public Relations and Advertising, and will be graduating in 2015 (hopefully). Jillian joined Greek life in the Fall of 2011, and says it was the best decision she ever made. She has attended conferences such as UIFI and Athena, and currently is the Vice President of Public Relations for the Panhellenic Council. Fun Facts: She always eats reese's peanut butter cups the same way, always. She hates butterflies, and one time she microwaved her phone.
